This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies:

Property and Cancellation Policies :

Please carefully read our cancellation policy. 
If a guest cancels more than 60 days in advance, any deposit paid for the reservation will be refunded. Less a 10€ handling fee.
If a guest cancels less than 60 days in advance, any deposit paid is non-refundable.
If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the guest will not be refunded and will be charged for the full duration of the original booking.
In case of a “no-show”, the total price of the reservation will be charged and is non-refundable.
There is only one way in which we can acknowledge cancellation of a guest’s reservation; a cancellation request, stating the reservation number, MUST be sent, via email, to the following address: martin.derusett@sfr.fr 
All cancellations will be confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been cancelled.

Please be aware that, if your booking has been made using the services of an OTA (i.e. Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com) the Terms and Conditions of the OTA will prevail in every case.

Reservation Policy
The property is available for the period stipulated in the confirmation of reservation. Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. Les Picardies has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive a 30% deposit within 10 days of making the reservation. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after cancelling your booking. 

Check In and Check Out
You can check-in any time from 16h00 local time. The access code for the key-box outside the gite will be provided, by email, prior to your arrival. The cost of any lost/mislaid keys will be taken from the deposit.
The balance of the full reservation for chambres d’hôtes is payable on arrival.
For the convenience of our gite guests, we have provided a folder with any information which may be required during your stay such as the location of near-by shops, good places where you can eat, sights you may like to see, etc. Always ask for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient. 

Check-out for the chambres d’hôtes, is any time until 10h30 local time. Late check-out times may be subject to a fee of 10€ per hour or any part thereof. If staying in the gite, check-out is any time until 10h00 local time. Later check-out times may be requested although our ability to accommodate late changes will depend on availability and on how busy we are. Unagreed late check-out may be subject to a fee of 15€ per hour or any part thereof. At check-out time please replace the front door key in the key-box provided.
Please note that a more detailed inspection of the gite and our bedrooms is usually made after the check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the gite or bedroom is occupied again.
Any security deposit due to you should be released by credit to your credit card within 3 working days.

Standard Booking Price 
The standard booking price includes the use of the following: Utilities (water, gas and electricity)* - Internet and TV usage - Towels, bed linen and hairdryer* - Cleaning before your stay* - All apartment amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence.

Important
When you make a reservation, you are booking a specific bedroom in our chambres d’hôtes and/or the full use of our gite. Please be aware of the details of the type of accommodation that you have reserved. Reservations can only be taken and confirmed by making an advance minimum payment of 30% of the full booking amount (together with a security deposit of 250€ when booking our gite). Payment may be paid in cash or using debit and credit cards, bank transfer or by cheque drawn on a French bank account. We will process your booking within 24 hours of receiving your request. Please note, your booking has not been made or verified until you receive a confirmation email from Les Picardies. 

When booking our gite, any outstanding balance is payable no later than 30 days before the booking start date. An email requesting payment of the balance will be sent to you before the 30-day payment deadline. If the outstanding balance is not settled by the due date, your reservation will be deemed to have been cancelled by you and your original deposit will not be refunded.
If you make a reservation within 30 days of the booking start date, payment of the total amount, including the damage deposit, is required at the time of booking. 

Number of Guests/Maximum Occupancy  
The contract is established for a specific number of persons. The number of guests permitted in the accommodations is prescribed by the Departement.
If the number of occupants exceeds the accommodation capacity, we are obliged to refuse to accept the additional guests. In this case, any amendment to or breaking of the contract will be considered to be at the guest’s initiative.
The maximum number permitted includes babies and small children. One child, 2 years old or under, stays free of charge, a cot is available on request. Visitors are permitted during the day, by prior arrangement, but no visitors are permitted to stay overnight under any circumstances.

Payment 
Payments will be made in Euros.
Payment may be made with cash or by bank card, euro-cheque or by BACS payment.
All bank fees and/or currency conversion fees are the booker’s responsibility.
Reservations made more than 90 days ahead of check-in date, and paid in full, will be subject to a reduction of 5% of the total price.
The initial payment will be a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total amount of the reservation, payable at the time of booking, together with a damage deposit of 250€.

If the outstanding balance is not settled by the due date, your reservation will be deemed to have been cancelled by you and your original deposit will not be refunded.

The damage deposit is only payable in respect of utilisation of the gite.

Damages
Immediate notification to martin.derusett@sfr.fr will be expected in the event of any damages or breakages.
Each host guest* is financially responsible for any damage to the gite. This includes losses caused by you (the host guest*) or a third party’s negligent actions and behaviour. 
The 250€ deposit is required to cover the cost of any damage or breakages to or at the property and any additional cleaning (including cleaning of the barbecue) and any missing items. This will be returned after your stay within 10 days unless required. 
The property will be inspected after your departure and we will notify you of any damage, breakages or missing items noted other than those already reported to us. 
We reserve the right to hold the damage deposit for longer than 10 days if there is a dispute over damage, or we are awaiting bills/proof of damage.

•The host guest is deemed to be the person whose name appears on the reservation 

Travel Insurance 
We strongly recommend that you take adequate travel insurance. 

Tourism Tax 
The taxe de séjour is set by the local authority and is payable by all guests over the age of 18 years.
Unless the tax has already been applied by your OTA, the tax will be added to your final invoice. 

Parking 
Parking is available, at the front of the house, for up to five cars for guests in the chambres d’hôtes. 
For guests using the gite, separate parking is available, on the drive leading to the gite, for three cars. 
Additional parking may be made available with prior notice.

 
Charging Electric Cars 
Electric cars may only be charged with prior notice which must be given to Les Picardies, in writing, at least seven days prior to arrival. A charge will be made at the prevailing rate. Adapters will not be provided.
 
Pets We cannot accept any pets.

Swimming Pool 
The swimming pool is available for all our guests to use, subject to seasonal restrictions and to periods, each day, when cleaning must take place and chemicals may need to be added to ensure that the pool conforms to ARS regulations.
The tiled area and lawn immediately adjacent to the swimming pool is available for use by clients staying in both the chambres d’hôtes and the gite. 
However, the upper terrace area (including the pergola area, lawn and barbeque) is reserved exclusively for guests staying in the gite.

 
Please do not take glassware into the swimming pool area.
The use of towels provided in the gite or the chambres d’hôtes may not be used as swimming towels. If you have forgotten to bring a swimming towel with you, one can be made available for a supplementary charge of 5€ per towel. 

Smoking Policy
Breathe easy…. Les Picardies is a non-smoking property. 
In line with current French law, and also for the comfort of future guests, smoking is not permitted inside the house or the gite. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, e-cigarettes or e-cigs, e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name.
Any smoking in any of our rooms or any strong, lingering, smoking connected scents in any rooms will result in an additional 100 € room cleaning fee.
Smoking is forbidden in the swimming pool or on the terrace area immediately surrounding the swimming pool.
Smoking is permitted on the grassed area beside the swimming pool and on the upper terrace area.

Please use the ashtrays or sand-pots that are provided around the property for your ash and stubs
Usage - Electricity/Water/Gas* Please respect our environment and use electricity and water responsibly
Please ensure that the gas hob is turned off when not in use. 

 
Internet Usage 
WiFi internet is available in all rooms and on the terrace by the swimming pool. 

Linen 
Once a week, bed linen is provided for each bedroom, together with bath towels in the gite. Bed linen and towels will be changed once during a two week stay. 

** Please do not use our towels as swimming towels. **

Cleaning 

Your accommodation will have been rigorously cleaned prior to your arrival. Please make every effort to leave the property as you would wish to find it upon arrival.
Guests are kindly asked to remove duvet covers, bed sheets and pillowcases at the end of their stay and leave them on the floor beside the bed. 

Behaviour 
Please respect our property and that of our neighbours.
Please be aware that sound travels, particularly at night, so use your music and enjoy yourselves with consideration for the people in the community around you.   

Safety 
If you are using the swimming pool or the terraced area around the swimming pool, please ensure that the access doors are properly closed with the security latches in position.
For your own personal safety and that of other guests, we have provided smoke detectors, a Carbon Monoxide alarm and fire extinguishers. Smoke detectors are now a legal requirement in France and we strongly advise guests to not tamper with them i.e. do not remove the battery/deactivate them. This could invalidate our insurance in the event of a fire.
Fire - In the event of a fire, please evacuate all members from the house immediately and as safely as possible. If a small fire and you feel able, please use the fire extinguisher provided but please do not put your own safety at risk.
