The Gite

at Les Picardies

The four bedroom Gîte at Les Picardies has had its interiors carefully designed in a Bohemian style within a 19th century barn. Overlooking the heated swimming pool (12m x 4.5m) set within a walled garden, the gîte enjoys extensive private terracing (benefiting from ambient night lighting), with a pergola furnished with outside sofas and a dining table.

The expansive accommodation is laid out over two floors; the ground floor french doors welcome you into our open plan living/dining/kitchen room (47 m²), all flowing into one another whilst equally being their own distinct areas. In addition to this, you'll find a large sitting room and an en-suite bedroom. Upstairs on the second floor are three bedrooms (one en-suite) and a family bathroom with a separate bath and double shower.

Living/Kitchen/Dining Area

In the living area there is a large U-shaped sofa that allows you to laze horizontally in front of the 65" (165cm) Samsung Smart TV and Sound Bar for cinema evenings.

The dining area has a vaulted ceiling and is flooded with light by the floor to ceiling windowed wall. A large table sits in this space seating eight people generously.

The well equipped kitchen has a 90 cm wide oven with six hobs, a tall Smeg style fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, espresso coffee machine, washing machine and importantly a dishwasher (because who wants to do that on holiday)! There are also all the other things you'd expect like non-stick pans, sharp knives, crockery and glasses.

Sitting Room (24m²)

A separate vaulted ceiling sitting room with an impressive stone fireplace can be found for evenings of games, conversation or quiet reading in front of the wood burning stove or in summer it's a great place to seek respite from the hot summer days. This room is flooded with light from a wall of French windows leading on to the private terraces with step access down to a heated swimming pool (12m x 4.5m) which is open through our summer months.

Downstairs En-Suite Bedroom (20m²)

Furnished with a king size bed (160cm) this room has double french doors that lead onto a morning sun patio with an outside sofa and two arm chairs, our guests have found this is the perfect place to listen to birdsong with a coffee and croissant. The room has a full length mirror, dressing table, a hair dryer, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en-suite is fitted with a double shower, toilet, basin, backlit mirror and heated towel rail (with 240 volt shaver point).

Upstairs En-Suite Bedroom (18m²)

This dual aspect bedroom enjoys sunrise views over the gardens and swimming pool from the King Size bed (160cm). The stunning vaulted ceilings and beautifully curated bohemian furnishings make this a picture-perfect room. You'll also find everything you need for a comfortable stay; double wardrobe, chest of drawers, full length mirror and hairdryer. The tastefully designed en-suite has a shower, sink, loo and heated towel rail.

Upstairs Double Bedroom (20m²)

Lie in the King Size bed (160cm) and look out over our fields to the rear of the property. Like the other double rooms you can expect harmonious design to ensure you are totally relaxed and have plenty of space in drawers and on hangers to store clothes. In this room you are perfectly situated by the upstairs family bathroom and have a full length mirror and hairdryer.

Upstairs Twin Bedroom

Open the curtains early enough and you'll see a beautiful sunrise from this room which is conveniently situated right by the family bathroom. As in all of our bedrooms you have a chest of drawers, hangers for clothes, a full length mirror and hairdryer.

Like a long lazy bubble bath with candles - we've got you covered, with a large bath that has a huge velux above for star gazing! This large bathroom also has a double shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail.
