The ruined château at St.Germain de Confolens and the Châteaux of Rochebrune, La Rochefoucauld and Rochechouart are open to the public and all within easy reach.
Within easy reach, you may arrange horse riding for just an hour or two or do some trekking with our good friends at Luchapt
Your bicycles are delivered to Les Picardies, (complete with safety equipment) and collected again at the end of your stay. Les Picardies is on Cycle Route 42 and we are surrounded by old by-ways and quiet lanes that are ideal for cyclists at all proficiency levels. Truly hassle free hire!
The Circuit du Val de Vienne runs an exciting programme of events throughout the year and it is easy to get to. The 500 Ferrari contre le cancer week-end in early June is an absolute must!
The beautiful lakes of Haute-Charente are an easy distance away offering breathtaking walks, swimming, sailing, rowing and fishing. Some have good restaurants and bars nearby.
